Mike's Christmas Stocking

I started this Christmas stocking for Mike last October and finally finished it this December.  It took me a lot longer than I thought it would.  It is counted cross stich.  I don't ever want to work with a navy canvas again, it is hard to see the holes in the material.  For how long it took me I am happy how it turned out.  Now I just need to make one for myself!

Pumpkins!

I do not have a green thumb, but I did get a few pumpkins to grow this year! Hey, don't laugh at me. This is a big accomplishment to a person who can kill a cactus.

My cat Mustard was checking out the pumpkins.
I had to get a picture with JC so he wouldn't feel left out, but he wasn't very intrigued by the pumpkins.

July 2010 Rag Rugs

I love going to my mom's house to make rag rugs on her looms. I am so lucky to have a mom as talented as mine. I go to her with all my craft problems and she can always fix them. Rag rugs are fun to make because you can complete a project from start to finish in just a couple of hours, as long as there is warp on the loom. It is interesting to see what different rag combinations make the rugs.

These first two rugs are made from denim, flannel, and cotton rags. I gave both of them away as gifts.

The last two rugs are made from fleece scraps. I kept these rugs to brighten up my craft room. They are currently my one of my cat Mustard's favorite toys. He likes to attack the fringe on the rugs, so they are never laid out nicely.
